I look forward to January every year, not because it is an opportunity to start over, although that could be considered a true statement. Not because I’m ready to start a whole new round of resolutions, I gave those up years ago. I have looked forward to January every year for the past four years because of the fact that my church does a corporate Daniel Fast.
Okay, you got, me–that is an opportunity to start over but not in my own strength with a lot of assistance. I look forward to the fast for a lot of reasons. The primary one being that the fast is a inward spiritual discipline that has outward benefits. As I give up the stuff that is not good for me anyway, like soda and dairy (lactose intolerant and sinus issues) and replace those cravings with cravings for time with God, I learn more about myself and why I am prone to overeat. As I continue to do this for 10, 15, 21, 50 days and more, the Holy Spirit continues to speak to me, guides me and takes away those cravings completely so that when I get off of the fast…I can continue to abstain from them…if I choose to. Last year, I lost 29 pounds.
So what does all of this have to do with HCG?
I’m so glad you asked!
For some HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is the assistance needed to lose the weight that has troubled them for years. The assistance needed to move past that plateau that holds them back from achieving their goal weight. With the increase of that natural hormone in the body it tricks the body into letting go of some of the stored fat and then with exercise and a healthy low calorie diet, the metabolism spikes up and the pounds drop more easily.
